Diamond Mountain District wines are characterized by power and longevity. Deep purple in the glass, the nose informs the palate what is to come. Black plums, cremé de cassis, dark chocolate and an alluring note of cedar shavings and graphite show the incredible depth of this wine. Baking spices and tobacco are apparent on the nose and balance with the dark mountain fruit flavors. On the palate, glazed plum and dark fruit character shine through with the focused tannins balance nicely to create a long satisfying finish. While approachable now, will drink very well over the next 25+ years.
